Hi all,

On Saturday May 2 at 12:00 we and the Community Center will celebrate the completion of the Community Center fence project, the roles so many persons have played in it, and the role of the Community Center and Rotary in supporting our Mendocino community.

This is something new for us, but we hope it will be the cornerstone of our drive to renovate and rebuild our Mendocino Rotary club, by celebrating the partnerships we have developed with the School District, the Interact Club and the Community Center not to mention the friendships that have developed without club as we have worked together and enjoyed each others' company.

Please talk with your spouses/partners and friends and invite those who might be appreciative of what we have done, to party and celebrate with us.

We will cut a ribbon, listen to speeches, talk with each other and play cornhole while enjoying hot dogs, popcorn and soft drinks. We expect 25-75 people to attend, and hope for 100.

To put this event on we will need about 12 Rotarians including myself to turn out on the day beginning about 9:30, maxing at about 12:00 and then cleaning up until about 4:00. The more, the better!! The Community Center will be providing people too (Peg's son will man the barbecue) they will help out in other ways (setup, cleanup and a booth) but we will provide a substantial part of the labor. It is what Rotarians do.

A brief note on the people we will need is attached.

Please let me know if you can help out, what you would like to do and/or if you cannot help out.

Cheers,

Jeff Stubbs, Executive Secretary and Community Service Chair
