Hello Mendocino Rotary,

We had a wonderful time last week hosting the District Governor's visit,
sharing our vision as a Club, hearing his vision, and celebrating together
at the Mendocino Grove with all of the "coastal clubs" (Gualala, Mendocino,
Ft Bragg). Thank you to all who came out. A special thank you to Rick and
LaDonna for providing the wonderful refreshments during our meeting and to
Matt Davis for setting up the coffee, tea, and beverage station... we
really know how to make a wonderful welcoming impression! Also, a BIG
CONGRATULATIONS to Past President Toby Wade for receiving the District
Governor's "Friendship Award". District Governor Jim O'Grady presented this
award during our joint meeting with the Ft Bragg Rotary Club on Thursday
where he explained his vision for this year is "Building Better
Friendships".

This week our meeting will be held at the usual place and time. Thursday,
August 8 @12pm in Preston Hall. Our speaker will be Anya Jindrich from
Cancer Resource Centers Of Mendocino County. *The Cancer Resource Centers
of Mendocino County’s Patient Navigation program provides cancer patients,
cancer survivors, and the family and friends who support them with the
information and support they need to understand and manage diagnostic and
treatment options, surmount financial and logistic hurdles, and maintain
their family and professional life while undergoing treatment. As one of
only two stand-alone centers between Marin County and the California-Oregon
border, CRC’s services are a vital resource for Mendocino County residents.
