[Rotary] This week's speaker Dr Walter McKeown

This Thursday Dr. Walter McKeown will speak to Rotary on  “How the drought 
can be turned into business opportunities.”    How is that for ‘making a 
silk purse out of a sow’s ear.”  Walt   is foremost a meteorologist “par 
excellence. “   Walt writes a  weekly column on the weather for the 
Beacon/Advocate. He is president of  the Mendocino Community Library. He has been a 
science instructor at the  College of the Redwoods in Fort Bragg.  He has 
appeared on San  Francisco and Santa Rosa TV stations on science and weather 
matters. He  hosted a PBS series on meteorological questions and another on Halley
’s  Comet. His “CV” runs 8 pages.  I counted 8 scientific publications  
and 15 scientific lectures he has given.
