I suggest that we need 5 or 6 CAB's to cover the political and broadcast
range.
The CABS would arrange around the 5 districts and over to lower Humboldt
and Lake.
District 5 gets good reception from the main transmitter and gets KPFA,
Gualala and a fair JPR.
District 4 has their local repeater and a low power in Noyo harbor plus
JPR. Ukiah has
KZYZ and KMEC with 2 districts and should include western Lake county
with their CPR effort.
Willits has KZYZ and JPR and KMUD. The list of facilities goes on but
the need for
non-competitive public radio is with us regionally,
I mention all of these efforts because the purpose of CPR, as I
understand it is to provide an
effective means for facilitating our safety and evolution as community
bodies. Up to this time
it has been a real struggle to maintain broadcast facilities and
consistent programming. We
are ready to evolve our model and actively join in a joyous reformation
of thought and spirit.
This is a suggestion that will change the energy that infects our
regional communications,
reduces the costs for those communications and lets us focus on the task
of bringing ourselves
into more joyous community. ~BC
