Dear Club Presidents, Public Image Chairs, and Membership Chairs,

Please note an important change to our District 5130 Public Image Workshop
scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, at 5:30 p.m. PT.

To address the immediate communications and promotional needs surrounding
the World Polio Torch Relay, this workshop will now focus exclusively on
the World Polio Torch Relay Toolkit.

During the workshop, we will review:

   - The communications and social media resources available to clubs
   - Customizable press releases, media alerts, and promotional materials
   - Tips for engaging local media and promoting your club’s relay
   activities
   - Photography and storytelling recommendations
   - The steps clubs should take now to prepare for the October 2–24 relay

The Public Image Guidebook will be presented at a separate workshop in
November, allowing us to give both resources the time and attention they
deserve.

Club Presidents, Public Image Chairs, Membership Chairs, and others helping
to promote the relay are strongly encouraged to attend. Your participation
will help ensure consistent and effective communications throughout the
District.
