I would really hesitate to "publish" minutes/notes.

 

Maybe doing a little synopsis of the topics and what Donna has for responses, run it by Ted for accuracy and then send that to try and get published in Beacon/Advocate, Mendo Fever, etc.

Folks, we hit a home run with the town hall meeting, something that was new for our club (not the home run but experience of the meeting), and we should discuss asap how we follow up on it. 

 

It was an all hands on deck affair and many of our club members contributed to it, Donna by taking a verbatim transcript of the meeting, Toby for chairing it, Margaret for suggesting a town hall meeting once we had Ted lined up, Ray for keeping it all on track, Pete for helping with the signup and questionnaires, John for helping with setup and cleanup and others too many to mention.  

 

I put these minutes together based upon Donna's draft, which a transcript of what was said, and combined what she did with the notes I had taken, into these minutes which I hope flow a little better than a transcript could. There are a few questions of fact which I could not answer, such as whether we had discussed Measure B, P or D, but overall I think this is a pretty accurate description of the event.

 

Many thanks, Donna, without what you did this would have been much more difficult. 

 

Please everyone but particularly Toby, Leona, Donna, Ray, Margaret and Pete read and note any changes.

 

I think the next step after making changes in the draft would be to send the minutes to Ted copied to Karen Bowers for his comments.

 

I do not know yet if we will be able to use the zoom recording I made. It did record, but the playback audio was very poor quality. I will run it again on my home computer to see if it improves.

 

Next step if we have the time and as suggested in the conclusion of the meeting: a PR piece with photos for the Beacon, posts on our website and social media.

 

Pl give me comments asap and lets discuss in our meeting on Thursday.
