[Rotary] Subject: Mendocino Rotary: Dues for 2023/24

Dear Mendocino Rotarians, 
Our individual bills for annual dues for 2024/24 are attached. As of beginning of August only 6 of our 20 paying members (including myself as a non-payer until now) had paid the $240 annual membership fee.
A couple of points here: 
First, our dues are very low relative to other clubs, some of which charge 4 or five times as much and use the funds to finance service activities. We do not do that. Our funds cover our local, regional and national administrative costs and that is all!! Anything else we raise through fund drives and grants which we reply for. So we can be proud of our club and what it is able to do without overly burdening its members.
Second, we need to get you al paid in. To that end I am going to suggest that any member who has not paid his/her dues by the time of our next meeting after approval of this proposal (this would have to be approved by the Board, in it's meeting on October 5) be ineligible for winning the proceeds of our daily drawing. It will be pay up if you want to win. 
Any member who has not paid his/her dues by the time of our December Board Meeting (which will be on December 7) will be considered to be dropped from membership.
If you have recently joined the club, your date of joining is the date on which you were inducted and paid your induction fee. If you have not been inducted, let your sponsor know. If you are scheduled to be inducted, be prepared to pay your induction fee  which is $35.00 on the day you are inducted. 
Once you are inducted you will be registered with Rotary International and receive a Rotary membership number. You can check on MyRotary to see if you have been inducted. If you have been inducted but are not registered in MyRotary let me know. 
All members, pay your annual dues now, if you can, but preferably before our next Board meetings in October and November. 
All prospective members, ask your sponsor to be sure you are inducted.
