Dear Rotary Club of Mendocino Members:
As noted in the below, several of us have not paid their annual member subscriptions of $240. If you have any doubt as to whether you have or have not paid, please contact Larry Flores, accountant, and if you have not paid send him a check immediately. The list of who had/had not paid before our meeting of today is attached.
My reckoning as of the end of our meeting today is that 4 members have not paid as of the end of our meeting today.
If so, you will receive a final reminder which will serve as a letter of termination.
Your the membership of those who have not paid their dues will be discussed by the Board at its last meeting of the year, on December 29.
The club will report its membership to Rotary International on January 30, the day after the December 29 meeting.
In that report we will have to state the reason a member was dropped from our club.
Possible reasons include moving to another location, joining another club, health, became disinterested and so on.
If you wish to remain a member of our club, please signal that by paying your dues, now.
If you do not wish to remain a member of our club, please have the courtesy to send us an explanation of why you are dropping out.
If you are dropping out in order to join another Rotary club, please let us know.
Hope to see you all Saturday night, at the tree lighting ceremony in the Park.
With warm wishes for a happy, healthy and peaceful holiday season and new year.           Jeff Stubbs, SecretaryRotary Cloub of Mendocino

 Hi all,
Today we had our last regular club meeting of 2022, convened by Executive President Gary Hopper
Members attending: Gary, Toby, Mike, Margaret, Jerry, Leona, Ray, Brandt, Jeff, John C. (10 persons).
After preliminaries we hosted the Mendocino Choir which sang Christmas songs.
Many thanks to Gary for arranging this and for the choir including Rotarian John Cottle for putting us in the mood.
We will have a tree lighting ceremony in the Park on Saturday at 5:00. Members will bring eggnog, brandy, coffee and cookies.
Let's all be there.
Jeff thanked members and especially Margaret for helping with the warm clothing drive. The clothes collected, contained in 15-20 bags, which fill the back of an SUV, will be delivered to Hospitality House for the Street Medicine Program tomorrow.
Member dues were collected again. If you have not paid in, as of today, you will be subject to a notice of termination which will be acted upon by the Board on December 29.
Gary noted that we had not paid the Church for the meeting venue. Toby will ask Matt for an invoice, which we will pay before the end of the year. Gary suggested we pay $1,200 which is $900 in rent plus a bonus of $300 to recognize the steps the church has taken to help us out.
Jeff passed on a check from Fort Bragg Rotary for $2,000 which is for purpose of helping with our international projects. He is talking with Vanuatu and Fiji to see how this can best be used.
The next meeting of the club will be a Board meeting on Thursday January 29. The meeting will be open to all members.
Topics for discussion by the Board: Financial position, key expenditure items (community services, youth services, international services, club services), budget).
Please attend the tree lighting this Saturday evening, December 17 at 5:00 in the Park.
Bring a friend, and
See you there.
