[Rotary] Flu Vaccination

Safeway has started giving flu shots. It is too early in my opinion.
I usually wait until late September or early October. It takes about 2
weeks for the vaccine to stimulate enough antibodies to be protective. But
because the benefit starts dropping after 3-4 months, that can leave folks
less protected when the second wave of flu season hits in February
or March. But the first wave in October or November is usually the main
one, so better a bit early than a bit late.
If most of the public continues to use masks it should be a light flu
season, as it is an airborne droplet disease too.
