Hi everyone,

This information is NOT just for this falls Pedal for Polio Riders. It also
has some useful info about the LARCA FIRE fund, and the nearly 3 million
dollars given to fire victims with zero overhead expense. Please scroll
down to read. The author of that newsletter blast FYI, is the inspiring and
talented Rotarian Jennifer Strong, our District 5130 Grants Chair. She was
evacuated from Lakeport last week, yet keeps on rocking! Grant writers,
sharpen your pencils and get ready for this falls deadlines.

I'll be sending out an email about this weeks program separately, and ask
that you please RSVP. Last week we had one RSVP, AND we were one attendee
short of break even on our lunch expense.

Hi P4P Team:

This “survey” and registration site for the Konocti Challenge came out
yesterday.  The 65 mile course around Clear Lake is the “official” last day
of the Pedal 4 Polio ride, so you all need to sign up for that ride.   I
just did :-)  In the survey, you might add in the comments section…Pedal 4
Polio Team Rider.

Hi all you Konocti Challenge enthusiasts!  So as you probably know, it's
been a bit warm around here as of late.  Luckily, they just about have that
fire out which we are incredibly thankful for.  Firefighters are basically
superheros in uniform for sure!  So we've been chatting here at Lakeport
Rotary and have decided that the Konocti Challenge is a go  - we're not
going to let a little fire slow us down!  And we are really hoping that we
are going to see you.  Now I know that many of you may be holding off on
your registrations but I'm coming up on the time that I need to start
ordering food and supplies.  So can you do your favorite ride director a
favor and take 2 seconds to answer the below question for me?  Please,

This year's ride is again going to be special, just like the one we had
back in 2015.  We are once again going to be supporting the Rotary Fire
Relief Fund that we started back in 2015 that has given out nearly $3
Million dollars to fire survivors over the past 4 years WITH ZERO
OVERHEAD!  Last fall when the fires broke out in Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino
counties we were able to quickly expand that fund out of Lake County to our
neighbors and have successfully helped thousands of people!   There is
again need from this recent fire in Lake County and we would love to have
your support and we would love to have you come see how beautiful our area
still is!  We'll be making our Friday night wine tasting bigger and better
and may, just may have some live music in celebration of the tenacity of
our beautiful community!  Something you don't want to miss for sure.
