Dear Mendocino  Rotarian's,
Our District Governor  Bob Rogers will be on the Coast this week. On 
Wednesday he'll be at the Fort  Bragg Rotary lunch meeting. Wednesday evening 9/20 
we are co-hosting Bob and  Assistant Governor Art Juhl of Gualala for 
dinner at the Little River Inn with  the FB Rotary board and their International  
exchange student. Dinner is at 6:00 p.m.

Please bring cash or  check, we are requesting $35 per person, and the club 
will split the tab for  the honored guests with FB Rotary.


BOARD Meeting with  Bob Rogers is 9/21  at 10:00 am at the Hill House Inn. 
I'll have coffee,  tea and something small to eat. We'll give our honored 
guest Bob as much time  as he needs for our Board meeting EXCEPT we will be 
putting forth a motion to  amend our recently adopted 2017-2018 Disaster aid 
budget. Suggested at last  meting was also buying a shelter box in addition 
to giving aid through Rotary  for the other hard hit areas. 


GENERAL membership  lunch meeting is 9/21 at 11:45 at the Hill House Inn. 
We are now meeting  downstairs. It worked really well last week, so we are 
sticking with it. We  had an excellent program by our International Committee 
last week, and also  gained a new member, Sherry Maier. She  moved here from 
Sausalito, was a Rotarian there, and has experience and  interests in 
grants, hooray! Bob will have the floor, and hopefully a large  crowd of 
Mendocino Rotarian's, their guests and potential new members will  show up to 
welcome our hardworking and friendly DG. Invite a friend!


YOUTH  Mendocino  High School Interact students will come to our Club in 
early 
October. I am trying  to have them switch from Oct 5th to Oct 12th. We have 
an OFF SITE meeting  planned for Pt Cabrillo. I spoke with  Wildlife 
Biologist Robert Douglas and he agreed to Oct 5th. More details to  follow on both 
meetings.


HIGHWAY CLEAN UP  Happens this Saturday with John Cottle as  your lead 
contact. Please email him, or let him know you will do this this  weekend. This 
is another good hands on project, one you can invite your  friends to.


CLUB SOCIAL  Our  Theater night on November 9th is going to be fun! Jerry 
will have tickets,  please pay for them soon and you can pick out your 
favorite seats for you and  your friends. This evening is much more that just 
attending a play- it's  camaraderie building with your club.


ROTARY SIGNS Two new  Rotary signs have arrived and need to be hung at the 
south and north entrances  to Mendocino where our old signs now hang. Anyone?
