Dear fellow Rotarians,
March has been a long month, and having the extra Thursday without a
meeting has been helpful for me, and I hope for you also! I am finishing up on
some personal tax and work related business, but there are some Rotary
related affairs I need your help with before we get to mid April.
The top 2 issues at the moment are completing the Board and Committee
Chair positions for 2017-2018, and setting a date for the Board retreat to
occur in May. To simplify, I'll list what positions are filled, and what is
still needed. Then, I would like to hear from each of you- what is it you're
interested in achieving as a club for this coming year? If you are a phone
person, please call me at (707) 813-1656 or 964-0487.

sharing via multiple media means.
Rotary Foundation
Gary Hopper
Club Trainer- NEED *New position- great for a Past President
Club Historian- Guenter
If I have misunderstood or missed a volunteer for a position, please let
me know right away.

District Assembly:
Are you coming this Saturday to the District Assembly? I sure hope so! It
will be fun, and it will ensure we have trained members to make the most of
our efforts this year. Gary and I just completed training to qualify for
District and International grants. Who will train for Youth Service, Club
Service, Membership, and the Youth Exchange program? If you are a new member,
or have never attended- they have a perfect Rotary University 1 strand.
There are roundtable discussions for those who LOVE to talk, AND of course
they will be introducing on stage the President Elects (!), District Governor
Elect, and Assistants Governors and officers of the District. It's all
there at our District Assembly. Our club picks up the tab for you.

I was asked to turn in basic Club Goals by the District Assembly. I REALLY
need your help with this one, so please send me your ideas for all.
Our Club:
Total Membership Goal #________
Foundation Giving:
Annual Fund $_______
Polio Plus Fund $_______
Major Gifts and Endowment Fund
Major Gifts #_____
Bequest Society #_____
Benefactors #_____

I have to thank everyone I have talked with thus far! Your support and
guidance are immensely helpful. My goal is to speak with each of you prior to
the board retreat and prior to our Vision and Strategic planning meetings.

One last thing- our speaker this coming Thursday is Justine Lemos, Phd.
She teaches Eastern Cultural college classes, is a professional dancer, yoga
instructor and teacher trainer, and owner of At One Yoga Studios' in Fort
Bragg. I am not certain, but I have a hunch she was a Mendocino Rotary
Scholarship winner. See you soon!
