    Webinar: Basics of the Electricity System for Communities June 11,

Generating electricity from power plants is the single largest source of 
anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions in the United States. The U.S. 
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is offering a webinar with the 
U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to provide an overview of the 
electricity system for communities. The DOE presenters will offer basic 
information about how the power system operates, who operates the grid 
and how it is regulated. Several community groups requested this 
training so they can offer informed comments during the public 
participation phase of the Clean Power Plan's state planning process.
