Oh, horse-hockey, Liz. /All/ the membership money from /all/ the pledge 
drives KZYX does /all year long/ doesn't add up to the amount the 
individuals in power in the office and their gang lieutenants suck out 
of the radio station into their own pockets and bank accounts. 
Discreetly peeping one's dissatisfaction into their royal ear behind the 
scenes changes nothing. It's been /28 years/. Email them with criticism, 
they don't respond. Call the stupid one-hour-a-week call-in show, they 
sabotage your two-minute call. Drive for hours out to the middle of 
nowhere to speak up at meetings, they sit there stony-faced, wait you 
out, and crawl back under their rock at the end of the meeting. Send 
them material for the station's public inspection file, they throw it in 
the trash. They are bureaucratic crooks, and need to be called out on 
this in public where everyone can hear. Criticize them even mildly /on 
the air/ sometime and see how long you keep your airtime.

The decision-makers at KZYX piss away many times the amount of money any 
radio station needs to operate, including the $160,000 tax-derived 
bailout they get every year. Just the manager pays himself six times the 
entire operating budget of KNYO, say, and you KZYX airpeople are 
dragooned into using your shows, for which you're not even being paid, 
to beg for even more money. And dedicated radio people, who have worked 
hard in real publishing and radio and teevee all our adult lives and 
have forgotten more about radio than the owners and managers of KZYX 
will ever learn, are shut out. No-one with a brain in his head would 
give so-called Mendocino County Public Broadcasting Corp. another red 
penny until that's addressed and solved.
