[Kzyxtalk] Ableism / Disability Hate Crime Thoughts?

Dear KZYXtalk readers,


Wikipedia has an article on 'Ableism' here:

It's defined as 'discrimination and social prejudice against people with disabilities.'


I'd like to get any input on this quote: 'In ableist societies, people with disabilities are viewed as less valuable to society, or even less than human.' Also any feelings on anyone using the phrase 'head case' on another, here or anywhere else.


On a related subject, I'd like to get your impressions on the 'Disability hate crime' article here:
