This $60,000 piano unaccountably threw a rod, and she happily took the

(Of course, it helps for a theater to keep a spare $60,000 piano in the 
basement. And have a silent freight elevator built into the stage. 
Imagine if Mendocino Theater Company or the Fort Bragg Senior Center 
could have something like that.) (And imagine rummaging around in 
whatever else they have in the basement there-- probably an entire 
hospital and library and a family of stuffed giraffes and a cotton-candy 
machine and costumes for /Dido and Aeneas/ and an army tank.)


In similar but slightly lesser-league news, I've been having issues with 
my /new/ internet service provider at Juanita's house, and last week I 
tested a slightly different configuration of these various blinking 
boxes by playing an hour-and-a-half set of relatively random music from 
my music library on the air on KNYO in the middle of the night, 
unannounced, and if you'd like to hear that, and you have electricity in
