[Kzyxtalk] MCPB 2016 Budget As Passed

Hi Doug,

I'm missing something too. Like last year's budget.

So when it says 'Actual' for 2015, I went to the 2015 audit. It probably 

means the 2016 audit. Which hasn't been prepared yet. And the Form 

990 that's past due.

Nonetheless, the '2016 Budget As Passed' identifies a budget that I

can't seem to find. It's not in the GM reports here:

It was referred to in the meeting minutes here:

But never posted anywhere.

So perhaps the 'Actual' is for this year, which isn't finished. But that

brings up a concern. Revenues are now at $501,695. With expenses at 

$568,912. For a net loss of ($67,217). That amount is subtracted from

net assets. At the end of last year, that amount was $78,446:

So if this estimate is accurate, MCPB's current net asset balance is

$11,229.

At a monthly 'burn rate' of $5,000, that gives MCPB less than three 

months before it bottoms out.

I nearly missed this budget. It's parked in a spot on the KZYX website

where members can't find it. It's not linked to any directory. So 

whoever put it there must've thought it's invisible. Check out the

expenses for 'Studio Rent' and 'Transmitter Rent'. Also for 'Other

Consultant'. Wow.
