Dear Ms. Courtney,

The fourth one listed is 'Failing to understand what makes donors



give'. Who's your biggest donor, Ms. Courtney? Hint. It rhymes



with SEE - PEE - BEE. That's what it is. The CPB. Do you know what



that stands for, Ms. Courtney? It's the Corporation for Public



Broadcasting. Your biggest donor.



Why does the CPB give? It's called C-O-M-P-L-I-A-N-C-E, Ms.



Courtney. With FCC regulations. Have you heard of them?



Here's how it works. The CPB gets its funding from Congress.



All of it. So that's PUBLIC money, Ms. Courtney. And it



comes with strings. Like not lying about audited financial



statements. By saying they exist when they don't. Look at



your Form 990s, Ms. Courtney. They don't exist.



Donors don't like being embarrassed. Especially by grantees.



Who insist -- in public editorials -- that their Form 990s



are okay. When they ADMIT that audited financial statements



don't exist. Under penalty of perjury. But only AFTER saying



they existed. To get $1 million plus in grant money. From



the CPB.



Donors don't like being swindled either. By grantees who



insist -- in grant applications -- that grant money will be



restricted. When it actually all goes into the 'general pot'.

Sweet. Maybe you think your donors are all Deadheads. Who



listen to Mary Prankster's show. Fine. Then look at what those



so-called donors have done for your station. As opposed to the



CPB. The donors who seem to prefer NPR. And S-U-R-V-I-V-A-L.



Think of it this way, Ms. Courtney. Congress is controlled by



T-H-E -- R-E-P-U-B-L-I-C-A-N -- P-A-R-T-Y. They don't like the



Grateful Dead. They like Enya. And S-U-R-V-I-V-A-L.



If you don't believe me, look at your Form 990s, Ms. Courtney.



Mary Prankster hasn't done S-H-I-T for you bottom line. Same



for the Grateful Dead. What makes donors give is something



you can't understand. It's called C-O-M-M-U-N-I-T-Y. And



another thing. Called T-R-A-N-S-P-A-R-E-N-C-Y. Until you



understand that, you'll be where you are today. Which is
