The single largest portion of our income comes from our members. We get funds from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, income from underwriting and sponsorships, local grants such as from the Mendocino Community Foundation, and income from special events we produce. But it is direct contributions from members that makes up the bulk of our income and most sustains the operation. Your contribution goes to all aspects of our operating budget: personnel, rent, equipment, programming, insurance and all of the many expenses that are necessary to running the station. 

Financial support (and volunteering) entitles an individual or family to KZYX membership. As a member you can vote for our Board of Directors. We encourage members to attend their public meetings. 

We welcome donations on every level. A basic membership is $50. We accept cash, credit cards, checks and money orders. We have plans that draw money from your credit card or bank account every month. 

All donations are tax deductible and we send out receipts. 

It is MCPB policy to never, for any reason, give out information about our members. We don’t share your name, address, phone number, or email. We will use it to contact you, or, if you prefer, we won’t even contact you.
