Do you really think all the meanspeak gratuitously posted on KZlists & others sets a good example of public discourse for the kidz? Have you considered that it might be a mercy if nobody outside the shrinking geezer demographic discovers the deep discourtesy of their elders?

I am not ready to trade privacy for hipness.

Like it or not, Facebook has been, and still is the "social media" site of choice for the younger generation.  If you or your event is not on Facebook, it doesn't exist.
