Using Announce
To post a message to all the list members, send email to announce@lists.mcn.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below. By joining the announce list you are agreeing to the terms of service here: https://www.mcn.org/email/atos.html   If you do not agree - please do not join the list.
Subscribing to Announce
Subscribe to Announce by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. Note: "AUP" = Acceptable Use Policy (aka Terms of Service) SUMMARY: 15 actions in 5 months is an average of 3 per month. On 9/14/2024 one member was warned about a violation of the AUP. On 9/6/2024 one member was given a one month suspension for violations of the AUP. On 9/1/2024 a member was placed on hold status for a determination of violations of the AUP. On 6/12/2024 a member was placed on hold status for a determination of violations of the AUP. On 6/5/2024 one member was warned about a violation of the AUP. On 6/2/2024 two members were suspended indefinitely with appeal allowed after 90 days. On 6/2/2024 one member was given a 2 month suspension for violations of the AUP. On 5/31/2024 two members were placed on hold status for a determination of violations of the AUP. On 5/31/2024 one member was warned about a violation of the AUP. On 5/15/2024 one member was warned about a violation of the AUP. On 5/13/2024 a member was placed on hold status for a determination of violations of the AUP. On 5/11/2024 a review of a moderation action was conducted. The action was upheld. On 5/9/2024 one member was warned about a violation of the AUP. On 5/9/2024 three members were given a 1 month suspension for violations of the AUP with a requirement to meet in person to re-instate membership. On 5/7/2024 three members were placed on hold status for a determination of violations of the AUP.
