[Thespiritexpress] Simplicity In Tears

Greetings and Blessings to All ~

I was moved by some remarks by Rabbi Yasskin in our Recognition Sutras
class today which lead to this observational poem I wrote from notes and
other remarks made today.  It's my intention to read it in class next
Tuesday in the yurt.

*Simplicity In Tears*



There’s a sutra class

on Tuesday in a yurt.

Do I recognize it?



There are feelings of love.

There are feelings that hurt.



There is one soul

woven so close together

it can’t tell itself from

the thread of itself

in an integrated garment

ever wanting to be shed.



There is one moment

for each breath.



There is relief with

every kind touch.



There is simplicity

in rice and tea –

and I cry.*
