Delight


Without my delight
at the light of the moon
the moon would not shine tonight,
 
Without my delight
at the whispering of the wind
blossoms would not receive the pollen,
 
Without my delight
at the flower’s aroma
the garden would have no color,
 
Without my delight
at the voices of the night
the night would host no creature,
 
Without my delight
at the forest’s canopy
the forest would not sing to me,
 
Without my delight
at the wildness of my cat
the tiger would have no stripes,
 
Without my delight
at the life that I live
I would have no life at all.
 
Without our delight
          the divine dance 
                        would not manifest. . .
