Your Presence in Death

Thank you my love for the gift of your presence
even in death, because of death.
It is because of it that the journey you are on 
is inscribed on my body with the ink of forgiveness;

it is because of it that having nothing left to lose,
I have no preference, 
although I care, I care a lot, equally, for everything;

it’s because of it that I do not mind being swept in the current 
with no attachment 
for it is the current of all opportunities,
a place of opening, receiving, investigating with curiosity, 
a neutral where the light of my divinity is constantly unfolding.

You offer me the relief of not having another task,
the power to know that the way I see manifests my world,
the power to be me, whole, 
to become the axis that joins what’s above and what’s below.

Don’t search for meaning, you tell me,
listen, respond and let meaning be revealed.
In the world I often visit lately 
words don’t stand for something else, 
they contain their own irrational meaning and significance.
Don’t ask me to be reasonable, the gods don’t have our logic,
their smile is ambiguous, it contains the deep sadness
that underlines everything we experienced since our earthly birth.

Night is our home, you whisper,
like the sun we return to it every evening 
to rise again in the morning, 
it’s a place where all opposites meet, where the paradox reigns.
And for this we have to do nothing.
No more running from yourself, enter the darkness with no fear,
remember, opening to all of life including death is pleasure 
so, die before you die.

When we have a taste of eternity
we long to return to that unlimited Self
for it is our true state of being.

You can do it in space and time, 
at your own time!
