~ In rereading your piece below about “Integral consciousness” and the 

"initiatory processes designed to bring Participants into direct, personal experience 

of their own soul”, or I would also describe as “awakening” or conscious realization 

or at minimum a glimmer or insight through a rite of passage Eleusinian ceremony 

that was celebrated for two thousand years ~~~ no doubt there was something very 

powerful that kept generations coming back to the yearly ritual in which previous initiates 

lined the roadside to encourage those entering the temple underground to have taste of 

the mythic awareness into the underworld and the afterlife~. To awaken to the reality 

of a transpersonal experience i.e. expanded consciousness~ This was seasonal ~ scheduled 

by a calendar of the solar system~. 

~I agree with what you are saying about “a state in which the healthy dimensions of all previous states 

of consciousness (are archaic, mythic, magical, and mental-rational) are reclaimed and integrated

into a new, coherent wholeness” ~~ This is a way of saying “Personal Growth”
