This is the poem by Catarina 'Cata' Flores Bernardes, called *Dreaming
Awake*

The path offers herself to you.

She stands before you, behind you, above you, and below you.

Her psychic soil invites you

to sow visionary seeds of wholeness.

The path has no clear ending.

Her trails are opaque and wild.

Sometimes she pulls you into the thickest darkness.,

where surrender is your compass.

Your vehicle is devotion.

Your power is choice and discernment.

An inner knowing soon awakens through the darkness.

And you root deeper into trust.

Prayer is your purpose.

In the darkness, there is a tender longing

to commune with the sacred.

This path stretches beyond

the conception of your human ancestor’s lungs.

Far more ancient than you can conceive.

It is rooted in what is wild.

And in that wildness, you learn to navigate

the polarities of darkness and light.
