Dozing

 

Dozing with you

between life and death,

dying in life,

living in wonderment.

Dozing, it’s so easy,

all I have to do is catch the moment of awareness 

when it opens for us.

There is such emptiness to fall into

nothing can go wrong, 

winning is assured 

for it was already there at the beginning of all worlds.

 

The mountain, the ocean, the forest

do not need to win

they are anchored in winnings

and all the dark places of wisdom  

celebrate the triumph of creation.

 

Oh, the temptation to doze away the day

and slowly descend into the night with you,

knowing there can be no mistake

as we patiently decline,

dispassionate, detached,

just waiting.

 

In death 

you are life itself!
