[Thespiritexpress] A word from the Wise

After the Kaballion group I felt inspired to write a poem.  A gift to this lovely cum-unity. Everyone who
Shares, your poems inspire.  Thank you for that.  Sometimes speaking from this place is so soothing.

Presence

warm sand, stones & sticks
beneath these bones

incites a deep, deep breath
of recognition

blood murmurs through my veins
like starlings
dancing through the cosmic window

a wisp of knowing —
my place
in the grand symphony of life

a triangle player’s role
subtle, yet consequential

as contemplation vies for attention,
cirrus clouds curl around the mind

following the dark cacophony —
awareness drifts
into another sky,
over aromatic cut fields
back to childhood

sitting in wonder
among strong, silent oaks

squirrels spiritedly dart
behind, above, through,
interrupting purposeful ants
gathering their harvest

with wonder,
my child self watches
enraptured, curious, present

a big boom —
jolted to the cumulonimbus giant above

sweet scent of wet, warm earth and straw
starlings scattered,
the cerulean scape hidden

a single frog sings its gratitude —
and then,
a grand chorus erupts
