Dear All,

I am re-sending the email below, with a few changes, to my contact lists. I still have a few more cabins available for the yoga retreat in Sept. and am making sure that anyone who has been thinking about joining it can be brought up to date. It is time to decide as I will soon need to release the hold that I have on a few cabins in order for the owners to rent them out.

I also want folks to know that the yoga part of the gathering is optional and you can join the gathering without joining the morning yoga practice. If you would like a friend to join you up there please pass on this email!

September is a beautiful time to be up in the Sierras!
In love and peace,
Tracey

A High Sierra Yoga Retreat
with Tracey Coddington
Sept. 14th - 19th, 2025

Dear All,

This past Winter I was approached by some folks who attended one or both of the yoga retreats that I have offered up in the Sierra's in the past, asking if I would consider teaching another one. I have a lot of wonderful memories of those workshops and am very excited about the opportunity to create more wonderful memories with you. I called the owners of Elwell Lakes Lodge to discuss renting as many cabins that they have available in the middle of Sept. 2025 and found that they were very happy to hear that we might be coming back!

I was able to reserve 7 cabins for 5 nights for the dates of Sunday Sept. 14th to Friday Sept. 19th. The cabins have multiple beds (people can share a cabin) and all have their own kitchens which means that everyone can eat the foods that they know nourish them the best. We can arrange to have some meals together as well as heading down into town to eat together in the local restaurants. We may even find nice dining in nearby resorts.

I envision this time in the Sierras more as a group of people who are deciding to be at the same place, at the same time to enjoy each other's company, the mountains plus the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of a yoga class each day. A different format from a retreat where meals are taken care of for you.

I would like to offer one nice, long, luxurious yoga class in the morning and leave the rest of the day to enjoy the many wonderful hikes, as well as have time to just drop into relaxation and visit with friends. In the past when I offered an afternoon class yet I felt a little rushed for the rest of the afternoon with organizing lunch after morning class and then rushing to get out on the hiking trails for a nice hike and swim. Time flew by and I had to turn around from the hiking for the afternoon class with no time for a nap, etc. This way we will have time to get a little further out on the hiking trails, or relax near one of the many lakes, drive and explore the area and more time to reflect!

Some of you have partners who want to come to the mountains, yet are not interested in yoga, and that is fine. If they change their minds and would like to try the yoga class that is also fine.

There are a number of people in the group who have a meditation practice and have requested making a time to practice together. I think that it would be wonderful to do this and we will discuss this as the time comes closer. There is also time for ping pong, games, and singing around a campfire (if it is safe to have one!)

I am inviting those who want to join this experience to reserve a cabin, or to reserve a place in a shared cabin, by sending in a deposit of 50% of the cost for the cabin ASAP.

I have been able to hold onto a few extra cabins, plus one person needed to cancel, but I will need to relinquish these cabins to Elwell Lakes Lodge very soon to rent if I can't fill them. The balance of the money for your cabin will be due at the beginning of June. I will be adding $175 per person for the yoga classes at that time. Please call me if you have questions about the cabins.

Below is a list of the cabins, the price of each cabin, plus a link to a picture of it. I am also sending a link to the Elwell Lakes Lodge website and in it you will find a map showing the layout of the property within the section of the website concerning the cabins. You will also notice that there are some tent cabins, however they don't have bathrooms or kitchen facilities. They would work nicely for folks who would like to share a kitchen space and/or meals with one of the cabins. There are separate bathrooms and shower areas.

Elwell Lakes Lodge has a deposit policy agreement and I will use the same policy with the workshop attendees. I think that it is very reasonable. It is as follows~

Deposits are due at the time of reservation to hold the cabin.

Deposit is refunded upon a two month notice in advance, prior to our scheduled arrival, less a $100 service charge per cabin booked. Less that two month's notice of cancellation, the deposit will be refunded when the cabin's vacancy is filled, less a $100 service charge per cabin booked.

Please let me know if you are interested in sharing this experience together ASAP.
In joy and love,
Tracey
