The Bad Seed
 
I didn’t know I had the right
just to be.
 
There was a requirement for living,
I had to prove myself
account for my self,
 redeem my being by doing
work that costed me.
 
I had to make something of myself
find an excuse for being,
but nothing was good enough to gain
the recognition, 
validation, 
acceptance I craved
so one day I just said:
let me be bad!
 
I no longer had to try
and this weathered the dismissal, 
the disapproval, 
the loneliness,
it made everything so easy 
I continued to be the bad seed
until there was no bad left in me,
then I was allowed to be
the perfect being I always was. . .
and I started to partake in creation.
