Spring creates the perfect weather to be outside and create a bigger circle of ceremony and celebration. Join us to work with the energy of the New Moon and Full Mon in May, through the gift of Shamanic Circle and the sacredness of Cacao Ceremony.

As Dan Brule expresses on his book, Just Breath, "Once our breathing is full and free, healthy and natural, once it is restored or raised to an optimal level, then it automatically becomes a therapeutic tool. They body and breath can be used to heal the mind, and the mind and breath can be used to heal the body."
If you have already joined our in person group sessions or done a one-on-one session with us, you know how powerful your breath is when guided to be Conscious and Connected. This breathing technique is usually done breathing in and out through the mouth and accompanied by music. Join us to experience the power of Breathwork during our online session!
PLEASE NOTE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: Mariscela Alvarez and Theodore Upton are not medically trained and the Conscious Connected Breathing technique is not a medical practice. If you suffer from any serious condition, check with your medical practitioner prior to breathing with us.
The Conscious Connected Breathing technique is not advised for conditions such as cardiovascular disease, detached retina or glaucoma, diagnosed brain or abdomen aneurysm, epilepsy, diagnosed bipolar or schizophrenia, uncontrolled diabetes or thyroid conditions, high blood pressure and delicate pregnancy. 
Likewise, if you are on any medications you are advised to seek medical counsel prior to joining us. If you do have any of the above conditions and would still like to breath with us, please please breathe in and out through your nose during the entire session. You'll still highly benefit from this practice!
STEPS TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR EXPERIENCE:
1.Download a copy of Zoom (zoom.com) to your laptop or smartphone.
2.Check you have a solid internet connection.
3.Find a quiet space where you won't be disturbed. You will want to lie down for the act5ual session and a blanket and cushion may help make your more comfortable.
4.Don't eat heavily before our meeting.
5.Have some paper and pen, or crayons beside you. It is always good to record your experiences either by writing them or drawing them.

Our circle will be influenced by a New Moon in the sign of Taurus, the zodiac sign associated with stability, grounding and material abundance. New Moons offer auspicious times to set intentions into the quantum field of bundles possibilities. 

During journey we'll align with this lunar cycle to understand what is truly important to us, as this lunation can give a big cosmic boost to our sense of self-worth. Manifestation is the outcome of self-worth and knowing we deserve to create what we desire, is essential!

The community garden is located next to the Auburn State Theater.
There is no bathroom at this location but there is a public one two blocks from there.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW ABOUT CEREMONIAL CACAO:

The cacao we honor is 100% Peruvian cacao, ceremonial grade, organic and, vegan.
A cacao ceremony is a type of Shamanic Healing, but it doesn't produce "hallucinogenic" or out of body effects.
Cacao is not sustainable for anyone with chocolate, nut, chili or spice allergies.
Cacao is not recommended for anyone with heart conditions or high blood pressure, as cacao increases blood flow to the brain and the heart.
Do not take cacao if you take high doses or SSRI/anti-depressant medications and/or suffer from severe mental illness. If you're sensitive to caffeine or if pregnant (especially 1st trimester.)
If any of the above applies to you, a "rose" tea can be available so you can still highly benefit from the energy of the circle and other activities!

WHAT TO BRING:

A chair or a blanket to sit on.
A cup to receive your ceremonial cacao.
A mosquito repellent, just in case.
Any sacred item you'd like to place on the altar.
A bottle with water to drink.

SUGGESTIONS:

Do not eat a big meal prior to the ceremony.
Be sure to give yourself enough time to arrive before 7:00 pm to get settled and start on time.
Drink plenty of water before and after taking the sacred cacao.
Nourish yourself after the circle, by enjoying a relaxed rest of your evening.
Please follow these directions, as your GPS might not bring you all the way to the gate!

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
Driving on CA-49, turn right onto Lime Kiln Road if you're coming from Grass Valley/Nevada City, or turn left if you're coming from Auburn. Follow the road all the way and pass two 90 degree bends in the road. Coming down the hill, you'll see big gray barns on the left hand-side where the green gate will be open. The gate is about 3.6 to 4 miles from CA-49 S. If you pass it and hit McCourtney, you've gone too far.
