As Dan Brule expresses on his book, Just Breath, "Once our breathing is
full and free, healthy and natural, once it is restored or raised to an
optimal level, then it automatically becomes a therapeutic tool. They body
and breath can be used to heal the mind, and the mind and breath can be
used to heal the body."
If you have already joined our in person group sessions or done a
one-on-one session with us, you know how powerful your breath is when
guided to be Conscious and Connected. This breathing technique is usually
done breathing in and out through the mouth and accompanied by music. Join
us to experience the power of Breathwork during our online session!
*PLEASE NOTE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION**:* Mariscela Alvarez and
Theodore Upton are not medically trained and the Conscious Connected
Breathing technique is not a medical practice. If you suffer from any
serious condition, check with your medical practitioner prior to breathing
with us.
The Conscious Connected Breathing technique is not advised for conditions
such as cardiovascular disease, detached retina or glaucoma, diagnosed
brain or abdomen aneurysm, epilepsy, diagnosed bipolar or schizophrenia,
uncontrolled diabetes or thyroid conditions, high blood pressure and
delicate pregnancy.
Likewise, if you are on any medications you are advised to seek medical
counsel prior to joining us. *If you do have any of the above conditions
and would still like to breath with us, please please breathe in and out
through your nose during the entire session*. You'll still highly benefit
from this practice!
*STEPS TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR EXPERIENCE:*
1.Download a copy of Zoom (zoom.com) to your laptop or smartphone.
2.Check you have a solid internet connection.
3.Find a quiet space where you won't be disturbed. You will want to lie
down for the act5ual session and a blanket and cushion may help make your
more comfortable.
4.Don't eat heavily before our meeting.
5.Have some paper and pen, or crayons beside you. It is always good to
record your experiences either by writing them or drawing them.
