[Thespiritexpress] Cleone Lake at MacKerricher

“Mother Nature” has made a change on the shoreline at Cleone Lake in MacKerricher.  After the high tides last week, the sand dune across from Cleone Lake washed away and ocean water streamed across the road flooding the road that goes up to MacKerricher day use parking and also filled in the parking lot at Cleone Lake.  The surface size of the lake has maybe doubled.  Was exciting to see the change  on this beautiful sunny day.  For those of you that are fond of the lake, this is a good time to go up to Ward Ave and walk south back to MacKerricher state park.  The road bordering the park is closed to traffic.
