 Crying Out

 

Cry like a warrior,

cry your heart out,

don’t let them tell you not to,

let that deep grief that cleanses the heart

            free the ancestral line

of the primal pain;

have the courage to cry God a river,

plunge into the darkness

that has held back generations;

clear the way of blockages and obstacles

restoring the flow of water connections

from streams to rivers all the way to the sea,

cry and cry like a warrior,

cry until you have exhausted your tears

and touched the original wound with light.

 

Come to the newborn place inside,

full of curiosity, 

go

where the infinite sadness of the world

      dissolve into a delicious acceptance of what is,

 

that place where tears

   become laughter.
