Announcements:
The first creative writing class for older adults is being held at the 
Coast Community library in Point Arena, August 23-December 13, 
10-12:50PM, Fridays. Contact Vincent Poturica, (vpoturica at mendocino.edu)

PLEASE JOIN US SATURDAY AUGUST 31ST FOR THE MENDOCINO POETS READING 
SERIES AT THE MENDOCINO ART CENTER.

Location:  Mendocino Art Center/ Stevenson Studio
Time: 4-6 PM
Date: Saturday, August 31st

The series will host two featured readers the first hour and a brief 
intermission, followed by an open mic.

Featured Readers:

Stewart Greenberg, long time Mendocino County resident, lives, writes 
and paints from his home and studio near Elk, CA. His most recent book 
of poetry, “Rhymes and Misdemeanors” (2020), follows his previous book 
of poetry, “Blessed and Cursed with Choice”(2004).
He is also the author of the novel, “The Book of Echo”,(1987), and the 
musical, “Goodbye Miss America”(1981).


Maureen Eppstein is the author of several poetry collections, most 
recently Daughter, which came out from Finishing Line Press this year, 
and Horizon Line, published in 2020. Her work has appeared in numerous 
journals and anthologies, including Fire and Rain: Ecopoetry of 
California published by Scarlet Tanager Books, and has been nominated 
for a Pushcart Prize. Crossing the boundary between the arts and the 
sciences, her poems have been included in a textbook on geometric 
modeling, a university geology course and a National Audubon Society 
report. She is a former executive director of the Mendocino Coast 
Writers Conference, and has taught poetry at the college level.
