I witness the blaze of inventionbirthing worlds with loveand destroying them with greed;that violent fire suffocating our time. Smoke smothers me,tears run down and on the first day of the New yearmy eyes go silent. I begin a slow pensive ascentinto a continuous coming into being,the word of Love suddenly plain for me to seein the fireand in everything around me. Each creation I beholdspells a divine word, words are strung into sentencessentences into scriptsproclaiming the joy of being,the joy of knowingthat to be is sacredto live is holy. I beholdthat indigenous fire ignited over and overilluminating the faces of mother and fathersister and brother with loveand the immense energies of the universewhisper of a future that heals the past. The fire slowly burns downas I fall into dormancy. 
 I become emberI become ashI disappear into a dreamthat has no beginningno end. All of what I amis a blessing.
