> thank you for giving me a voice,
> thank you listeners of the radiant faces
> for offering me your eyes
> when I get on my high horse
> and suddenly
> the righteous stallion takes me on a wild ride
> awakening my pride and rousing my combative spirit,
> that raging self feeding on outrage,
> the self that seeks revenge,
> that is always right
> and never wrong,
> the self that will prevail
> and be knighted for punishing infidels,
> the warrior that will save the world
> and be acclaimed by all of creation,
> the hero that will sit in Heaven
> to the right of the Lord Supreme. . .

> but suddenly, I feel your eyes on me
> my throne crumbles,
> I tumble down
> and fall,
> flat on my face I fall
> and a life of lies passes in front of me.
> I remain on my knees
> I cannot stand.

> You are opening my eyes:
> Wasn’t I working on forgiveness,
> on acceptance and surrender,
> on the infinite love
> that I am
> that you are,
> you who have given me
> this voice, our voice
> these eyes, our eyes
> to see
> the eternal me,
> the limitless you,
> the perfect being
> we all are.
