arrogance and ever-so-slowly back to innocence It
used to bethat
the world was  fullof magic
and mystery. It
used to bethat
as a child of immigrants I was insignificant––many
others out thereso
much smarter, more capable,beautiful,
powerfuland
convinced of their value.But
poor immigrants are of not worth anything! It
used to bethat
I tried to be smart,worldly,sophisticated,cultured,so
I could have friends to admire me,men
to adore me. It
used to bethat
I wanted the moonto
reflect my grace and beauty,the
wind through branchesto
whisperabout
my insights and understandings,the
sun to broadcast my achievementsin inspiration
and vision … But
the wild me took me to the forestand
when I fell asleep under a treea
small bird landed on my kneesinging
a little melody:‘you
are all you desire to be ––and more,in
your joy of being,of
creating blissfully with no purpose,no
goal,just
to enjoy the joy,to
witness the healing of the healed,the
awakening of the already awakened. ‘The
mind doesn’t know what’s of value,what’s
of service to humanity,so
forget trying,just
follow your blissfor
it will take youwherever
you need to be,your
heart knows how valuable You arewhen
you love your friends for who They are,and
in return…they
can’t help butlove
you!’
