                  Happy Equinox! September 22, 2021

This is the time and day and night are totally equal and we are heading
into the dark time of the year. Before I get into the astrology of today,
I want to mention the effects of the full moon we just had two days ago
which affects our autumn equinox today. The full moon is the culmination
of the moon cycle and when things come to a head emotionally. The sun was
in Virgo opposite to the moon in Pisces and this is, among other things,
the axis of health and healing.  The water signs are emotional signs and
Pisces is the most sensitive of the water signs. The moon was right next
to Neptune in Pisces and Neptune in its highest aspect rules water,
emotions,healing, creativity, dreams, music and arts of all kinds, and
also and
intuition  and our connection with the Divine.
This is very beautiful but in its lower aspects it can be about deception,
delusion, confusion. The sun was in Virgo which wants order, precision,
analytical information, and also it’s about health. And since it was
joined with Neptune, there can be a lot of confusion about information and
disinformation regarding health. So with this opposition there are
conflicting points of view and it is important for us to tune in to our
own intuition in order to know what is real for ourselves.

That said, it is the backdrop for this fall equinox chart. And now the
Sun has moved into 0̊ of Libra right next to Mars, which is about
action, assertiveness,and energy. Libra has to do with balance, justice
and equality, and with Mars there, it wants to act and fight for justice
for the good of all. They are both in easy aspect to Saturn in Aquarius and
Saturn wants to make things real and  manifest, and Aquarius is about
equality and the rights of people who are demanding to be heard. There
are many legal cases all over the world and they may come to the fore
in October .
The Moon is an Aries today forming a difficult aspect to Pluto and this
creates more anger in the streets as people want justice. Also, Uranus is
in difficult aspect to Saturn which is about freedom and change and has
been in a struggle all year with Saturn which has to do with power
structures. This is another situation in which people are taking to the
streets for their freedom against the corporate and entrenched power
systems.

On September 27 Mercury goes retrograde , making it six planets retrograde
this month,  very unusual! Retrograde planets cause things to slow down,
where we have to rethink, reconfigure, revision how the energies of these
planets operate. The planets are Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus and then
Mercury. When Mercury goes direct we tend to have problems with
machinery, internet, contracts, travel plans etc. so it is not a good time
to sign contracts with Mercury  retrograde. In October many of these
planets will go direct and some of these legal cases I mentioned may come
up then.

Now Mercury is in easy aspect to Jupiter creating the ability to vision
new ideas and new horizons in a very positive way!

And all year, Pluto has been very close to where it was at the start of
this country so there is a Pluto return. Pluto is in Capricorn and it’s
purpose is there is to excavate corruption in the power structures. It
has to do with unearthing deep,hidden, dark secrets into the public
domain, like a volcano being dormant underground and finally erupting
and spewing its contents .And in Capricorn which has to do with power
and control systems in the country, these entrenched institutions are
being deeply challenged. As Tim Glenn, astrologer says, "Pluto doesn’t do
remodeling jobs, it does demolition to remove and replace conventional
Capricorn systems."
This continues on and off until late 2024. Pluto has to do with death, and
rebirth and transformation and so eventually it makes away for a new way
of life.

Also today, Venus, the planet of love, relationship, and also finances,
is opposite to Uranus which is about sudden change and freedom. This may
affect relationships that feel stable
and secure but may feel also uninspired and very routine so that there may
be an urge for freedom and there may be sudden  endings beginnings.
There also may be fluctuations in the market, especially in October when
there will be an aspect for change.

Despite all the strife and difficulty,  there is more light coming into
the planet now and we must keep our vibration and frequency high so that
we can access this light along with the peace, love and spaciousness that is
always available and  is who we truly are. We can stay in a good state
by being in gratitude, appreciating each other, being in nature,
meditation, creativity, good  friends and laughter!
