widely! It's so good to hear from those who knew her well and that I can
know more about her.

This short passage of the Mary Oliver poem The Summer Day comes to mind
about Gracie

"Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?"


Gracie's passing brings it home to me of how precious our life really is.
She knew this and lived life so well, with so much radiance, beauty,
inspiration for life and courage to face illness and death. What a teacher
she has been and a gift to us all. She will be sorely missed.
