Beautiful, Ron. Thank you for sharing what is also felt in my heart.
The great challenge for me is to look deeper inside, into my soul, and find the quiet, the stillness that is spoken about.

Subject: [Thespiritexpress] "Stop ~ Look ~ Listen" ~ This day...

Early Morning
5:37a.m.
(in between time)

I like to rise early in the morning ~ there is a sense of stillness in the World ~ a place I feel in my heart that knows most people are safely tucked-in warm
with pillow and blanket~. A sense that I’ve got the World to myself, along with the first morning birds,
the fish, the last lingering ever so quiet nocturnal creatures like foxes and owls, the flowers yet to fragile to open in the chilly morning dew~.
I’m able to feel the gap between night and day in the still silence and distinct sounds that are like those high funky notes at the end of a piano that you rarely hear played in the body of a composition but you know they are there for a purpose ~ the still silent transition between the dark and the light. Together they are one day ~ my morning catch that is the flavor of both, as the sun is subtlety becoming more luminescent as though some Angel has Her fingers on the dimmer bringing up a presence that stirs and blends
my thoughts and perceptions into the alchemy of this day's unfolding~.
I meet this day and everyday since I was 26 years old with a bit of
wisdom spoken by the Master to his student in one of Og Mandino’s books:
“I greet this day with love in my heart”

This has helped to set the tone of the day like a cathedral bell to help unite in my thinking mind with my feeling heart~.
Lately I’ve gone to bed with a sore throat and I’ve awakened with a sore throat ~ Toni says it is because I’ve been spending too much time outside in the smoke
without a mask, breathing in too much smoke~. Of course she is correct ~ and later in an e-mail to someone I write jokingly:
~"Today I smoked three fir trees, with a hint of manzanita and oak along with a faint nose of an old barn, parts of condo and…” …and I stop to
consider what other ashes am I taking in from this funeral pyre carried in the winds~.

…and I stop to feel within ~ I stop in this moment with love in my heart to take-in something else — the over 3 million acres ablaze and as yet to be
counted thousands of homes, businesses and lives that have been consumed~.
I’ve talked with a friend who barely got out when the phone rang at 2:00 a.m. “get out now!" - they barely made it~.
Their newly built home and all their personal and prized collections went up in the consuming dance of Mother Nature's inferno who shows us a thing or two about consumption~.
They, along with others in Oregon went to work double time rescuing others - moving those who have been trapped in Covid isolation in Convalescent Care facilities
away from loved one’s, smoke and burning towns ~ imagine these challenges…

~I finally spoke with a man I tried connecting with for two days as the cell tower was out ~ the fire only 45 mins. away ~ he was gathering what he could~. I talked with a mother, her two children (one with asthma) and their dog in a traffic caravan of smoke and ash soaked cars, trucks and trailers driving toward the promise of a lower air index - Arizona… Last night they found themselves in a roadside motel in the outskirts of Reno

~As the days shorten and seemingly shrink in the space between the dark time, the still silent moment between each breath, the fraction of a second between each heart beat and as each thought dissolves from one to another ~ see if you can stop thinking, look within and listen deeper for the whisper of your Soul that is saying
something wonderful to you ~ enjoy the day as there is a faint but yet perceivable message in the stillness and in each photon capsule of every ray of light ~~~
and in the seeming darkness of each night and every day waiting to be received…
“It” is in every ever present precious moment of Now~.

“I greet this day with Love in my heart”
This Breath
~Ron

Do not forget that the ashes falling from the sky are all that remains of the pine and grass and thistle; they are also someones loved ones, cherished belongings, un-replaceable items, beloved animals, wild animals, bears, coyotes, deer, and mice & sooo many other creatures that could not escape. Scoop some up in a sacred manner. Take it to your altar. Offer prayers for these beings. Honor their death. Pray for life. Call in rain. Remind Fire that it is full, has gobbled enough, and can rest. May all beings be safe. May all beings be loved. May all beings be remembered. May all beings be mourned. - Source unknown
