I find his global biological perspective on suicide (starting around 50:00 or 53:00) remarkable, with suicide as a sacrificial globally life-affirming rather that life-negating act. A fascinating and positive way of addressing this subject on philosophical/intellectual, personal emotional as well as species-specific bio-planetary levels.

That way of looking at suicide overlays my own experience with a loved one who chose that route. It’s not the whole story by any means, but for me it adds to a fully sense of understanding and acceptance.
