 This is really great news! While the state is doing less and less to protect the coast, the Redwood Coast Land Conservancy has been dogged in advocating for this very important piece at the mouth of the Gualala River. 

As you travel south on Hwy 1 thru Gualala keep your eye out for the low-lying brushy flat on the west side of the bridge, the last parcel in Mendocino County. Soon this will be public access and the kayak floats up the river can continue.

Many thanks to the RCLC for acquiring this land for the public in perpetuity !
