[SCE] Ratna Ling: Superior Court Hearing Monday, March 30

As you know, our ongoing support of our General Plan has led us to oppose the 60,000 square-foot printing factory complex located at Ratna Ling Retreat. Our recent challenge of this inappropriate industrial activity above Salt Point State Park was allowed by the Board of Supervisors in a Rural Resource and Development Zone on a close  (3-2) vote. Our supervisor, Efren Carrillo, voted against us and all who sanctioned this industrial use cited a "charismatic religious purpose" in their reasoning.

CHRP challenged this ruling in superior court and our case will be heard:

All along the way we have had a very hard, uphill effort to defend our rural hills against a large industrial operation that benefits a very wealthy organization with wide political influence and high-powered legal representation.
