Hi Gary (and Mendo Rotarians),
Gary thank you so much for stepping up to take care of the popcorn and
drinks and for being there at 11. I really appreciate you jumping in!
A couple of quick things as we finalize plans:
Should we add something on the sign noting that proceeds will benefit a
Rotary cause (Youth programs, scholarships, RYLA, etc.)? It might help
encourage a little extra support if people know where the funds are going.
Also, do we want to keep it simple at $5 for popcorn and a drink, or list
it separately as $3 popcorn / $2 drink? Either works. I just want to be
clear before we make the signs.
Would anyone else be willing to help Gary with sales? It might make sense
to break it into two shifts:
• 11:00–1:30
• 1:30–4:00
Even covering part of a shift would be helpful. I’ll help as much as I can
as well.
Also, would anyone be interested in setting up a small table for Dining
Raffle tickets and Rotary Club information? With all the foot traffic
during Whale Fest, it could be a great opportunity for visibility.
Kindly,
Margaret
