Folks, this Thursday we have Leon Thomsen, an acclaimed geophysist, on the faculty of Houston University, a Mendocino Rotary club member and a person with deep family roots in Mendocino, who will speak on "Earthquakes: The Mendocino Connection." Does any of you know what a geophysicist does and why that is so important? Think of recent earthquakes in Venezuela, Mexico, Japan and nearby Redwood Valley, and join us on Thursday to talk, have fun, listen to an expert in the field, and enjoy each other's company.
