[Rotary] Subject: John Porter Commitee Meeting

All, the John Porter committee met today and took a number of decisions: (1) We will send the letter from and seek donations to the club, not the foundation. (2) We await advice from Grant Stickel re legal aspects of the request. (3) We will insert a card with boxes to be checked for the amount of the donation, and a return envelope.  (4) We will liasse with Janis as we move ahead, and (5) we will use a simplified letterhead, finalize the letter, and meet to approve it in two weeks, on January 18, probably in the same location, Mendocino Cafe, which worked very well. The draft revised letter is attached, as well as a photo of John I had on file, and an electronic copy of his mailing list which is in MS Excel. I assume that Donna, Margaret and others will help finalize the letter. Cheers!!
