[Rotary] Meeting Attendance!!!

Dear Fellow Rotarians:

Last Thursday we had a much anticipated Speaker at our regular 2nd Thursday Meeting of the Rotary Club of Mendocino. Linda Garrett spoke of her experiences in Poland at a Refugee Camp for Ukrainian emigres from the Russian Invasion.  Her talk was poignant but sadly was only attended by 6 Rotarians.  Kudos to Pete, Gary, Ray, Jerry, Matt and me … kind of a slim turnout for an important talk.

Mandatory attendance at Rotary meetings is no longer required but that doesn’t mean attendance isn’t expected.  We are a small group of dedicated individuals who accomplish much for our community and I think attending meetings is important especially when we have someone speaking.  

For now on, I propose that members endeavor to attend our bimonthly meetings or hopefully inform the Secratary or President of their planned absence.  Margaret and Mike Garratt let us know that they couldn’t attend - but we delayed our meeting start for ten minutes expecting more attendees.
