Dear Rotarians,
We sat around a table and talked about the golf tournament, the dinner raffle and youth services.
Persons present included President Toby, Jeff, Donna, John Cottle, Jerry, Mike, Gary and Leona.
Most of the hour was spent on arrangements for the golf tournament, for which we need all members and candidate members on board for at least part of the event which will run from about 7:00 to 4:00.
Gary laid out the various activities, equipment and supply needs, most of which are in hand  but almost all of which would benefit from more persons present. So turn out for the event, help out where you can and enjoy the competition.
Gary will be at the course at 6:30 and others helping out in the early stages of the event will assemble at 7:00. Golfers will check in shortly after with the objective of heading out to the various tees at about 8:45 with a tee time of 9:00. Gary has everything in hand, but there will be a need for most of us to help out in one way or another.
There will be a $100 entry fee, carts $20 per person, mulligans $5.
We will need 3 persons at the check-in table (Margaret, Mike and ___?), a person or persons manning the breakfast and coffee area (Leona and ____?), a person or persons manning the bloody mary and screwdriver booth (Jeff and ___?), a person or persons manning the grill on the 4th hole (Donna and ___?), a person or persons manning the charcuterie table on the 6th hole (no one yet), a person or persons manning the barbecue and. beer area (Mike and ___?) and a handicap person. John will pick up ice and someone will bring petty cash. Ray is picking up the ABC permit in Santa Rosa. New members and candidate members, this is a great time for you to show up, help out, enjoy the tournament and get to know other members and candidates.
We continue to need hole sponsors. With 20 active members we should be able to get about 40 sponsors (each member to get two sponsors) so everybody lets get it done.
We are pretty good on raffle prizes. None turned away, but do have a look and see what you could contribute.
Donna talked about her meeting with the Interact Club which had held their first event on Wednesday. It is the largest club in the school with 28 students. We provided pizza which was much appreciated and helped put the Interact Club on the map. The students  talked of RYLA which was much appreciated by those who attended, ways in which they could work with us, projects in general and projects they could share with us which might include town trash pickup, a booth at a market in the park and a social event in the spring. The Interact Club will meet on first Wednesdays, once a month, with the next meeting being in November. This looks like an excellent beginning and we all thanked Donna for being there and providing her feedback on what seems an excellent beginning for the club.
We meet next week to hear speakers on the marine resource center. The community services group will meet before the regular meeting, at 11:30.
