Greetings!
Scholarships committee and *Mendocino Club scholarship lead,* it's time to
review, discuss and interview this year's applicants! I'll know how many
applications there are when I go pick them up today. A scholarship
committee typically is five to seven, but could be as small as three. Jeff
and I conducted the interviews of the finalists last year, and we had some
email and discussion withthe committee to narrow it down to two finalists
which were decided by early May. I believe then President and PE Toby
presented the awards at the high school awards night.

Attached is the Youth Services document which includes instructions
for the *new
scholarship lead this year*. As I have stated earlier, I cannot be lead for
all Youth Services projects, but I will certainly continue to facilitate as
the schools liaison, hence I'll continue to communicate with the
established contacts at the grammar school and high schools, like Noah
below.

I cannot serve as lead as I have a huge project I lead with an
impossible amount of work-- really impossible - before May 14th. Public
Health might have to request the federal org for an extension which just
prolongs the pain. We are interviewing and close to having a new Public
Health Director for Mendocino County. I am in grad school and have work
projects I am completing with Mendocino Coast Clinics re: Fentanyl, Narcan
and teen health. Our public health offices are being moved to the south end
of town this week.

*Please let me know that one of you will take the lead this year and I'll
deliver the applications to you. I can resume next year.*
